Why is it worth learning Arabic?
The Arabic language is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. The International Day of Arabic is celebrated on 18th December. It is one of the languages spoken by the largest number of people all over the world. Apart from that, a lot of companies in Poland cooperate with trading partners from the Middle East. Knowledge of Arabic (even at beginner level) is always warmly welcomed and can help break the ice. What is more, learning Arabic is connected as well with learning the culture, particular behaviours and all that give more possibilities that our meeting will be successful.
A lot of Polish people travel to Arab countries for holidays. Would you like to talk in the language of your hosts? Would you like to know how to bargain over a good price in Arabic? Would you like to know how to read road signs? Or maybe are you planning to live in an Arab country? So – learn Arabic!
What is it better to learn – Arabic or Egyptian (Cairo) dialect?
It depends 😉. At the beginning of our common journey with Arabic or Dialect (even if you are sure which of these two “languages”) I always make an introduction to explain clearly the difference between dialects of Arabic and Arabic itself (in the literature you can recognise it as Modern Standard Arabic = MSA). If you are not sure what you want or you still have doubts, let’s do the introductory lesson which takes about 45 min. During this lesson I will make you an introduction and exercises which should help you to make a final decision what you really want / need to learn and I will answer all your questions. After this lesson you can take your time to decide.
Who do I teach Arabic and Dialect to?
Youth from Middle School, High School and adults.
How long does my lesson last and how many times per week should we meet?
Everything depends on the individual need of every trainee and our agreements. The most common are lessons which last 1.5 hours. I sometimes give as well lessons which last 1 hour or 2 hours.
