Dr Edyta Wolny-Abouelwafa ambassador of the Egyptian Ministry of Emigration’s project
It is a pleasure for me to announce that I became the ambassador of the Egyptian Ministry of Emigration’s project ” اتكلم عربي ” (Etkallem Arabi / Speak Arabic) !
I have been supporting this effort with all my heart and I hope that it will be popular not only among Egyptians but also among those who wish to communicate with Egyptians and visit country on the Nile. :) Visiting a touristic place does not give us a full possibility to get to know this fascinating and such a rich culture. So let’s enter it more deep! Thanks to ” اتكلم عربي ” we can discover not only the language, but also the Egyptian culture, history and society.
From the scientific point of view it is also very interesting project. I strongly believe that it is a huge and very important step in the history of teaching Egyptian Dialect and generally co-existence of Egyptian Dialect and Arabic in Egypt. Everybody who research modern Egypt simply can not ignore it. We can say that we observe how the history is happening. So, let’s not turn our heads!
I would like to express my deepest thanks to H.E. The Minister of Egyptian Emigration – Nabila Makram, the Representatives of Egyptian Embassy in Warsaw and especially H.E. Ambassador Hatem Tageldin. That’s the huge honour for me and huge happiness that I can cooperate in the project which I was into and in the same time support my beloved country and language!
